Ryan Farnung
Drummer • Percussionist • Educator
Ryan Farnung began playing drums and percussion in 1997 and he started his career as a professional drummer and private instructor in 2002. He is an active performing and recording artist in Rochester New York and maintains a busy schedule as a studio teacher for Drums and Percussion.
Ryan has performed all over the northeastern United States as well as internationally at venues in New York City, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Providence RI, Hamden CT, Albany, Syracuse, and Toronto.
Ryan graduated from Nazareth College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Education. He has studied privately with Mike Melito, Kristen Shiner-McGuire, Alan Christenson, and others.
As a teacher, Ryan currently works with students of all ages and abilities. His holistic teaching approach has helped many percussion students in the Rochester area achieve their individual goals.
